It's actually the newest attempt at 'circumventing' Bayesian filtering...

The idea is, put a lot of words in that have zero chance of being used commonly in spam, so Bayesian filtering systems that are becoming oh-so-popular will let the spam through.

It works for poorly-trained filters, but it even more hit-and-miss than normal e-mail spam. The text was probably meant to be 'background on background' coloured, so you would never actually see it.

*nod* This was my theory, too. Like I said, the text was set to be white, presumably on a white bg by default. I, however, have Eudora set to ignore font changes, tiny fonts, and colors, so it all showed up. And if you look at the headers, you'll notice that it did, indeed, fool the spam filter that my server uses - that X-Spam-Status line is added by the spam filters that run on rdwarf's mail server, not by smeone else along the way. Had it decided it was spam, it would have read 'X-Spam-Status: Yes', followed by statistics on the likelyhood that it's spam, and the various tests that it failed.
