I woke up early this morning and started making a chart. The version of St. James Infirmary I'm working on is 93 bars long (plus or minus one, I kinda lose track in the vocal break at the end); three minutes and fifteen seconds.

I have most of the bones of the song laid out on four pages before me; I must construct new narrative flesh to clothe it in.
