egypturnashI really wish that if you're about to try to make a comment on a journal set to "only friends may comment" where you're not a friend, LJ would warn you of this on the comments page.
Thankfully it wasn't one of those ten-minute essay comments this happened to.
I know some reasons why people set their journals to only friend comments, I can see that in some cases (people who are Weird enough and vocal about their weirdness to attract lots of hate from net.dorks) it's a neccesity... but it's still annoying. Especially when the 'no anonymous or non-friends comments' warning is displayed in 4-pixel type that's only about 10% different in color from the background.
