Jul. 3rd, 2002 02:08 pmI'd been dithering about whether or not to refresh the colored streak in my hair before my trip home this weekend.
crackjackal's note about her now ultra-red hair made me decide to go ahead and do it.
I waffled further for a few minutes, not sure whether to use the purple that looks great for all of two days before vanishing into the ether, or the blue that sticks for a while, but leaves the floor of the tub (and the walls!) blue for longer. I finally decided on the purple, because I think my hair may have been blue the last time I was home, and I like to look amusingly different each time.
If my grandmother notices it, I'm sure she will hate it as much as she did the green streak, but purple isn't too conspicuous when pulled back against black hair, and the heat and humidity of New Orleans will ensure that I keep my hair up.
Is purple a fundamentally more fugitive color, as hair dyes go, or does the 'Splat' brand simply have no staying power?
