It also appears to be the entry point for an ARG; those of you who have the time to puzzle these things out and enjoy doing so may be amused by that. There are some links to pages starting to decipher it in the comments here.
Edit: Interesting, reading through this thread on an ARG forum suggests that it really is a film done by a couple guys for 150 Euros... over the course of a year. And they have done the attached ARG for fun and/or to promote it. Which it seems to have helped done; they're getting offers from major studios.
As always, the end point of the ARG is a product.
(Also, it is hilarious to see people clicking on the links the first site associated with this thing has to an old Lost ARG site and posting their discoveries to the thread. *grin*)
