shifting back

This morning I found myself looking at web-comics news sites. (T', you got mentioned in passing on Fleen's 2007 retrospective post.) And looking at what I've been doing, and looking over the current state of Five Glasses of Absinthe.

I think it's time to get back to that crazy raccoon. I have a pile of work ahead of me before I can start posting pages, but it's fun to watch it take shape. I dunno who the hell's going to read it, with its several levels of fetishy-but-never-pornographic content, and its likely-to-be-irregular schedule, but as long as I have fun making it, I don't care.

You know, Absinthe was supposed to be quick and fun to make. I got it half right. It's a lot of fun but oh, it has so not been quick. It's coming up on a year since I decided to try and get Nick out of a funk by saying "Let's make a comic!" and filled half a sketchbook with designs and plot notes.

I just hope it ends up being worth the wait.
