One more thing from the ufology categories of Wikipedea:

• 1995: Bill Clinton causes a lot of stuff to be declassified. In part because Clinton, like anyone who lived through the sixties and seventies, wanted to find out just what the fuck was up with JFK's assassination and UFOs. Clinton later makes a joke about the lack of hard data in the Air Force records.
  
• 2003: George W. Bush causes a lot of stuff to be reclassified, and gives the VP equal authority in controlling what's classified. "Terrorism" is of course invoked in this. There was little discussion of this, because the VP just shot some guy.
  

I miss having people who actually wanted to know things, and share this knowledge, in control of this country.
