"No obliiiigatiiion", the subject line read. And Mail didn't mark it as junk, though it usually does pretty well.

Reduce stress? Testosterone? HAH! Reverse the aging process? Testosterone?!? HAH! All that shit does is make you a used-up violent old man. or at least that's what I felt it was doing to me.

I kinda wanted to play 'rabbit hole day' but I didn't prepare anything beforehand, and the world-suggesting inspiration's dry right now. Besides, everyone's expecting it.

So I was going to be wry. I went out to the garage, digging through my boxes of books for my copy of the Ralph Steadman edition of Alice in Wonderland. It's my favorite version. Down the same old storied rabbit hole, but not with the familiar Tenniel illustrations. I was going to scan some.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find it. It's somewhere in there, but it might be hidden in a box more cryptically labeled than "Weighty Tomes 6", or I might have just missed it... I pulled some other books out just because. Including the big Hirschfeld retrospective "On Line".

Have some Hirsch. )
