differences

My life has become strange.

A casual expedition to downtown Santa Cruz this weekend ended up with a stop at a sex toy shop. (In a pretty normal-seeming shopping district. What was I saying about Kansas again?) Nothing was bought but many things were ogled.

Today consisted of upgrading my machine with bits lying around the house (more memory and a less hideous video card!), hauling in my monitor (yay screen real estate! you don't appreciate 1600x1200 until you're at 1024x768 for a bit), working on tiny retakes and a new scene for Renegade (they say they'll have a new pile in the pipeline for me next week), working on the album cover for doctorpinkerton (think it'll be Done tomorrow; it'll get put up when the album's purchasable), and a visit from prickvixen. Which very rapidly degenerated into a lot of biting while we ended up watching "Ed Wood".

Oh, poop, I just remembered I was supposed to call kattything at some point today to maybe go do some stuff tomorrow night. I'll phone her tomorrow, I suppose - this is a reminder to myself to do this!

I also changed my desktop picture - for the first time in a while it's not my own art. I guess I just need a break from the muted colors and solid shapes sometimes. Or maybe I just feel like lesbian latex insect bondage is what belongs beneath the icons scattered over my desktop right now. It seems appropriate for the directions my life is going right now.
