It's almost done.
Music went in last night, and improved the cartoon immensely.
After going to the DMV to get a new ID card (it expired on my birthday earlier this month), I spent about a half a day getting the opening and closing titles together - most of this time was spent unsuccessfully trying to find a version of the 'Pixie & Dixie' opening theme without the vocals, which is what John wanted to use for the opening of this. I gave up and just used the no-vocals Yogi opener, which I could find. Steve insists the P&D theme is somewhere in the library of stuff; if he finds it, I'll swap it in and re-time the opening titles.
I really need to start exercising again and stop overeating. The whole pizza last night while laying in the music and doing other assorted tweaks really left me feeling bloated, both then and this morning. Admittedly, it's kind of absurd to refer to myself as feeling fat in the same entry I make mention of Steve, the Fattest Man in the Cartoon Business, but it's all relative. As a kick in the butt to remind myself to exercise and eat less, I told the DMV my weight was about ten pounds lower than the number I recoiled from in horror when stepping on the scale this morning... I was there a month ago, and I'll be there, or past it, again, damnit.
