The bars of sunlight creeping across my bedroom wall are still red.

When I woke up and looked around they were redder. I can't easily see the sun itself from my window, just the sky. Which is mostly white. It's strange and foreboding. White clouds, red light. The rectangle's slowly creeping down the wall, onto my bed. Still red after about an hour.

Is something going to happen today?

also, is it just me, or are LJ comment notifications taking their own sweet time to arrive lately? Like up to a day or two after they're made...

And God didn't make his money back on it, either, so don't ask him for another one!

Outside my window here at work there's an enormous black cloud, and the sky is orange. I agree, very creepy @_@

The red is from brush fires. I could see them driving into work this morning.

Ahhh! Of course. That'd explain the drifts of dark cloud over the city, and the fact that the light is still rather pale and yellowy even around noon.

But...

...does it explain the ruined city with the impossible, twisted architecture that arose from the depths of the sea off Malibu last night?

Just wondering...

Oh, no, that'd just be the Big C coming into town. I hear he does some really impressive stuff for Halloween.

Could be yesterday's solar flare.
Saw something on the news last night about a G3-level geomagnetic storm headed our way today,
which is caused by a large solar flare yesterday. (shrug)
I thought it would just disrupt sat comms, not make the sky look weird...

Must be brushfires...

In Ann Arbor, red lighting from below would occasionally bounce off the clouds at night. It'd look like something out of the animated Batman, so of course I thought it was 'way cool.

This light kicks ass, but it's not as red as I'd hoped it would be. Last year, when Burbank was on fire, that was some ruddy light. People were all spooked and looking up at the sky... I loved it.

Yeah, I hear there's a fire in Rancho Cucamonga. All the light was orange when I woke up. This made me anxious, and I couldn't figure out why, until I raelized it was a fire: last september there was a massive fire in the hills by my house. I could see it burning from my yard.
