signs of spring

I just took my first shower of the year with the bathroom window open. Yay for spring finally making its way to this frozen shithole! Maybe. I'm not taking the plastic off the windows quite yet.

Also, today saw the first signs of my half-assed attempts to recreate the exercise habit having its effect - despite eating too much last night, I'm three pounds lighter than the weight I was holding steady at for a couple of weeks while I started. Yay for less of me!

I don't know where it's coming from as there's still way too much tummy, but hey, it's just three pounds off of the thirty or so I feel I'm above the weight I look my best at.

Now if I could only make a dent in this list of unpencilled pages of Absinthe I barely touched at all this past month...

It has been a *LONG* time since I have been somewhere that had a window in the bathroom, much less one that could open. My grandparent's house had a big window in the shower itself. It was weird. I remember as a kid using that shower and loving the feeling of the cool air mixed with the hot water.

Sometime in the next few months they are tearing that house down. Now that both my grandparents on that side are dead. :(
