So: beetiger was visiting Boston, with her son Rhys in tow. Now, Rhys is five years old or thereabouts, so he's still learning the wonders of the world. He is currently fascinated with squid - or at least he was when he was visiting; he's fiveish, this may have changed. There are a lot of "squares" around Boston; Intertate roadsigns abbreviate "square" as "Sq.". Rhys saw this on a sign and tried to expand it as "squid".
I thought this was pretty cool, because squid are awesome to my thirtysomething self, so I say 'squid' instead of 'square' now and then. Honestly, if you look at a map, 'squid' is more appropriate than 'square' anyway.
