I should have been doing some animation for AG today. Instead I updated to the latest version of my gallery's backend - I should have, perhaps, gotten the absolute latest version out of their CVS, but I'm lazy. I fixed what was lost in the hack, too.
Also, the syndication feeds are working properly again, if you're the kind of person who prefers that mode of viewing. illustration feed; sketchbook feed.
While I was hacking about I added some support for Flash animations to my gallery. So now I have a small animation section, with a few things I had handy. The getID3() project was instrumental in helping with this; I was able to use it to snag the stage width and height out of the SWF. It knows how to parse a lot more formats, so if I generate stuff as Qucktimes or mpegs or whatever, I can just drop another format plugin in and add another case for generating the proper object and/or embed tags.

Date: 2006-09-04 04:22 am (UTC)I find myself envying your programmerly skills almost as much as I envy your artistic ones. If I were rich, I would hire you to code a web site backend of some sort for me just for the sake of doing it, really. :D
